Great watch easy to use the features
Low budget and efficient
I’ve been wearing my new Gard Pro Ultra 3 for about two weeks, only taking it off for showers. It’s been fantastic, Gym then work, golf on the weekends loving it. Battery life seems good, haven’t charged it yet and it’s still at 65%. Highly recommend as an affordable option.
First time owning a smart watch and I spent a long time deciding what route to go down. Depending where you look, reviews vary, but mindful that naturally people only tend to leave negative reviews, the GardPro Ultra 3 had mainly positive reviews. I wanted a watch with GPS and it has to be tough. Offerings from other companies were nice but I questioned whether I needed all the features and whether they were value for money. If this lasts me two or three years then for the price it makes sense. So my observations, the Ultra 3 is a great watch. It has been mistaken by my colleagues for bigger brands just for its looks. Function wise it pretty much does everything I need and has so far done it smoothly. I’m on 84% battery after 4 days heavy use. I have run with it and it mapped seamlessly to the Gard Pro Fit App. It has tracked my sleep and activity without hitch and integrated with my iPhone fairly well. So what would I improve? The instructions are lacking, meaning internet searching to identify icons etc. I didn’t realise that the back of the strap has a small toggle to help locate the strap pins (you have to attach it before use) and those pins are fairly small diameter compared to my old G-Shock. It’s currently not connecting to Strava, support (who reply very quickly) state they know of the issue, so I hope it gets fixed quickly (seems to be a licence quantity issue). The watch will only control my phone music if the music app is open first - that took me a while to figure out, and to prevent YouTube videos playing through the watch you have to disable the phone icon - now that might be another setting somewhere in my phone or on YouTube, I don’t know. I have not yet tried the phone function. It would be nice to have some more options in the app photo link - such as Portrait options. At the moment it’s limited to flash on/off but taking a photo can be controlled by the watch which is a nice touch. I have found lots of the face options have the date as mm/dd rather than the British dd/mm but there are some faces that work such as the one photographed. It would be nice to be able to import a fully fledged custom face rather than just a custom photo with selectable clock positions. One of the faces I was using had a moon icon on it but I wasn’t able to determine if that updated the moons phase which would be useful in my profession. Obviously I can’t compare to other smart watches as I have never had one, but speaking to colleagues, it’s not really lacking unless you want some of the more specialist features or solar charge which are now hitting the market. I have ordered a metal strap although I am actually pleasantly surprised with the comfort of the silicone one. Delivery by Evri was ok but I don’t know where the watches are being sent from as they get accepted and received by Evri but then seem to stop moving for four or five days. So what do I like? Bright screen, no issues with health monitoring - I have no way of comparing measurements except heart rate is spot on. (I wonder if those who said it tracks badly had the watch too loose?) I like the fairly wide range of faces to choose from and hope more are added in due course. I like the features it has. And finally, I have already bashed it on the corner of a wall and it shows no signs of damage! Would I recommend? So far yes.

I'm what I guess you'd call a Horophile, yeah, I own a watch or two. Prior to me becoming aware of the Gard Pro I was using the excellent Samsung 8 which is a good watch but, as time rolled on I started to get a little miffed at the constant bloody charging. I wear any smart watch with the display constantly on which the Samsung was quite happy too provide, downside being approximately 2 days of use! Now a mate of mine new of my addiction to timepiece told me what he knew of the Gard Pro, which wasn't a lot prompting a little research. I read the specs saw the pictures and bought one. A damn good decision. Pictures of the timepiece on a Web site don't do it justice. Seeing it in the 'flesh' was quite an eye opener, it's kind of a matt (light) black colour with a non reflective screen, to be honest I will fail to sum this watch up, it's just amazing. I have the screen on 24/7 and from receiving it have given it on top up charge and the O.A.D (on all day) screen is limited to a basic time piece - hours, minutes, day, date and month. I can live without heart rate, blood oxygen, steps being displayed all the time, all that is available at the press of a button As I said, I'm not gonna give this brill watch the assessment it deserves, I'd be still typing at 7pm. Basically put it is a watch for the outward bound type, it's the watch version of a multi-tool. Highly recommended for pretty much all types. It definitely wouldn't look out of place in an office environment, or commons on rifle held tightly against your chest, abseiling down a cliff face or helicopter side door. Oh did I mention the fact it's resistant to the ingress of water to a depth of 50m. What more could one ask for. I think 🤔 I've said all I can offer the top of my head. But don't take my words for it, I'm sure they will still be available at the reduced price I paid, try one for yourself, if you think it's crap, send it back and get a no questions refund. An absolute winner. 👍
